The Virtual Fair Lounge is an innovative platform designed to facilitate global events, offering a comprehensive solution for hosting and managing virtual fairs worldwide. Originally built on the Yii2 PHP framework, the project required a significant overhaul to enhance performance and scalability.

My role involved rearchitecting the backend by migrating the existing Yii2 framework to Laravel, while simultaneously transitioning the frontend to React.js for a more dynamic and responsive user experience. Additionally, I developed and implemented custom web scrapers using Python and Selenium, designed to extract content from various websites as specified by the platform’s clients. This upgrade not only improved the system's efficiency but also ensured a seamless and flexible experience for users across diverse events.
